You need to choose a product with an affiliate program to promote as your main product. A good product should have training to get you started, as well as emails and templates that you can use.

A paid program will normally provide you with more commissions and better support, but you can start with a completely free program, which I recommend below. Don’t dwell on this; pick a product, signup, and get going; you can always swap your program or add more programs later. 

Autoresponders are necessary for affiliate marketing success as they allow you to build a list of people to email product promotions. This list belongs to you, unlike social media accounts that could get shut down anytime, and you can make many sales as you can follow up automatically with interested prospects.

We recommend Birdsend Autoresponder as it’s very easy to use and very affordable for beginners. It’s also very powerful, with multiple lists, hits the inbox when you send emails, and you have unlimited email sending and automation.

However, if you want a completely free autoresponder, Sign up for a free trial of GetResponse, and after the trial period, your account will default to free for up to 500 contacts. I suggest you sign up for both autoresponders, but build your main list in Birdsend.

There is a popular saying: “The money is in the list.” This saying should be expanded to say, “…when you send emails.” If you don’t send emails, you won’t make money.

That’s why your next step is to add emails to Birdsend or Getresponse to start sending automatically. The program you joined should have provided you with starter emails for 3 to 10 days to promote their product, but you will need more.

You need to add emails for more programs to the end of your sequence so that once the first program emails finish, more will be sent. Now, you can sign up for the remaining programs in Step 1, and you can add their emails to the end of your email sequence.

If you decide not to sign up for the additional programs, You may need to create more emails yourself, as not all products you want to promote will have emails.

You can get traffic through free or paid methods. I recommend paid methods as it’s faster to see results, but if you have no money at all, I have provided information on free methods as well.

Solo ads traffic is the easiest paid traffic method as no technical skills are involved, and you can get visitors to your page the same day. The more traffic you get to your landing page, the more sales you get.
